The KIAA Welcomes All KJs!

As a condition of membership, you are asked to agree to the KJ Terms and Conditions of the KIAA. In essence this agreement assures that all members’ catalogs and libraries are in full compliance as outlined by the KIAA.

Your karaoke library must be in 100% compliance. If you have been deceived by unscrupulous sellers of unauthorized karaoke products, here's how the KIAA can benefit you:

1. For 90 days from the day you join, you will be protected from lawsuits brought by the KIAA and its member labels. This grace period has been provided to allow its unsuspecting members the opportunity to divest themselves of any questionable content and bring their libraries into full compliance.

2. This “amnesty” period during which time the member karaoke labels whose music you are using will work with you to convert your current catalog or library into one of full compliance.

KJs should not have to compete with people running stolen music and everyone should be competing fairly and by the same rules. The goal is to create a level playing field which will make the entire karaoke industry stonger.

The annual KIAA membership fee for a KJ is normally $75, but we are making the KJ/Host membership available for a limited time at the introductory price of $50. Your membership dues go toward:

• Anti-piracy endeavors
• Advocacy for expanding the availability of musical works
• KIAA operational expenses

Membership begins from the date of enlistment and will run for one year from the day you join. Your membership will be auto-renewed at the end of the period unless notified otherwise within 30 days of your membership expiration date.
